First we went to Brentwood Mall and had a play date with Rachel and Ben! Here's Kaitlyn sitting with Mom's help....

The belugas are always a hit, they are so big and swim by slowly enough for the kids to really check them out. The dolphins are great but harder to get a really good look at.
Ben and Rachel really had fun checking out the belugas, it was so neat to watch them play together. Katie's at a really fun age, but I can't wait to see her interacting with other kids like this!
Did you know that beluga whales can blow bubbles? That's what the ring you see at the whale's snout is. The TV at the display said that only one of the belugas (Imaq) can blow bubbles, but this is Quila I think so they must be learning.
Katie had a little nap while I enjoyed the belugas!

Cousin Jack is about 5 weeks younger than Katie - what a difference that much time makes at this age.
Kaitlyn comes on a little strong - Jack isn't quite at the age where he is noticing other babies yet.
But Kaitie sure is!
At least she'll still nap for a bit in Mom's arms.
After brunch we took a stroll around Granville Island.
We met Lucy Shu for the first time tonight. What a cutie!
It was a late night of visiting for Katie, Daddy gives her her last feed of the night.

I caught a picture of her sitting up on her own! She's done this a few times before but never when the camera was within arms reach. She still needs to prop herself on her arms though, but she's getting pretty strong.
Today was the first time I really noticed this - Katie arches her back flaps her arms and does a frog kick - apparently this is a precursor to crawling.
Katie wasn't feeling that great this weekend so we had a lot of snuggle time while she was awake.
Brought out the Jolly Jumper today, Kaitlyn wasn't really jumping, but she did have a few little bounces - really she just liked being able to stand up independant of Mom.
