Toboganning and Home

Geoff and Mom took the girls to the school for some slipping and sliding. The clothes basket won favourite.
Yup, that's Megan going solo... in a laundry basket. This is what happens when I don't come along...
Okay, she loved it and no Megans were hurt in the making of this post.
At home a few presents waited for us... Granny and Papa made some good choices.

The Amazing Race

Bevin did this all for us! What a great Christmas activity. Thanks Bevin! (and volunteers)
GT Racer slalom course.
Did you know there's a Ginseng place in town?
Our route at the rock climbing gym
Everyone else's route...
Okay, we're at Superstore... What are we looking for?
Trying to find our items.
Slingshot - not going so well for us.
Cold girls who should be napping.

I finally gave up when both girls were clinging to me and crying. But once they were warm and had snacks they were happy again.

Boxing Day

One of Megan's very favourite pastimes.
Why ever did you stop Daddy?
We're really enjoying this present from Santa.
The cold, dry spell is producing the most amazing hoar frost! So Doug and Geoff need to go on a photo expedition of course!!!

Christmas Day

Megan steals Katie's "big present" for a spin. I see problems ahead...
So, we have to open Megan's "big gift" - it has been accepted, but the longing for the scooter is obvious still.
Oh! Seals just like at the aquarium. Katie must have told him when he came into the Georgia Straight Exhibit looking for his dropped bells!
Grandma revels in the knowledge that the one week of pain when we went to Vegas is all worthwhile when she is the only other acceptable adult besides Mom and Dad.
After all the hubbub, a little time out in the snow walking the dogs is necessary! Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!

Christmassy Outtakes

I thought I would try to get a Christmas shot this morning. Maybe get 2 girls in one shot? Sounds impossible, but I was confident. I did get a few with both looking, but mostly we were being goofs today.
Megan sporting the "Christmas tree" look. We even had a few balls hung off her ears - both girls were highly amused by this.
No, No, they are NOT for eating.
I'm so done with this now Mom!!
Okay, this game is fun, I'm back!
Nope, still done! And it's sunny. Won't you put that away and get us outside?
Pretty please?

Parents in Vegas!

Thanks to the energy of Grandma, the parents got away for a week in Vegas!! We missed the kids a lot, but enjoyed our trip completely! Thanks Mom!!
The path in to climbing in Red Rocks.
It was the last day, I did a lot of this.
Dave in action.
The girls on a ledge. I did climb that too, it's not just for the picture.
Rob in action. Rob and Dave were showing their metal on the last day and outclassing us all. In fact it wasn't even their last day!
Pearl catches the last rays.
The big sky of the desert.
Have you heard of the Belagio fountain? It's amazing, it's like watching fireworks. It goes with the music, and it goes every 15 minutes and it doesn't play the same song twice (well, not that we stood there the whole time to check that out)
It is also huge and Geoff requests a fish eye lens next time we're down there so we can give you a better idea. This is just the center of it.
Slight wardrobe change from the morning! What a junxtaposition to be climbing during the day and staying on the strip during the night. We look forward to doing this again... Hopefully Grandma will look forward to it too?

Busy Halloween Day!

This is the doll stroller... Boy were they pleased about this.
Never was there a cuter bunny! Apparently when Megan was out trick-or-treating she was hiding behind her ears and saying "BOO"! So appropriate, especially as she can't say "trick-or-treat".
Both girls in costume. Another good rrrarrr from Katie. Don't think that Pandas say rrrarrr... oh well, it convinced her to get in the costume.
Gabby came to join the girls for trick-or-treating.
After everyone was home Katie helped me hand out candies. It was another busy year.
Daddy's pumpkin! Another sawsall creation.

Another grouping of pumpkins. Unfortunately, the candle wouldn't stay lit in one of Katie's creations, otherwise you would see a scar-like mouth running between the eyes.
Lots of pumpkins this year. I forgot that the daycares send pumpkins home to carve too... The highest pumpkin in this group is one of Katie's drawings, there are 2 eyes, can you see the second eye??
