Feeding the Ducks

QE Park is a quiet place to hide out from the Men's Gold Hockey Game Fever that is clutching our town.
The ducks appreciate our visit.

An Extra Olympic Day

Thanks to an idiot and arsonist, Megan's daycare is closed for a week due to smoke damage! To make the best of it Geoff takes the girls downtown to catch some more olympic fever.

Another Family Day at the Olympics

We will get ready to leave...
Back to the playground near Socchi House again!
Megan's turn.
Let's try the next playground down the seawall!
Megan enjoys the crowd.
We each get a steering wheel!
Megan loves tunnels.
Someone started balancing rocks and everyone got into trying.
Bevin is pretty pleased with her deep fried potato on a stick. This is at the food court that got set up at the Plaza of Nations from Expo.

Victory Ceremony

We got to see Maelle Richer (I think that's the spelling) get her gold medal for snowboard cross - it was sure cool to sing Oh Canada!
Afterwards we headed out around downtown to check things out. This is part of the Robson Square light/fireworks show. We discovered the Art Gallery Cafe was open until 10 and that was the place to watch from.
The "skier" on the zip line over Robson Square, during the light/firework show.
The "trees" on Granville mall. All of downtown was lots of fun during the olympics!

Our First Family Olympic Outing

We are nothing if not prepared.
Toddler hide and seek.
The hellebores are beautiful. You've got to be here.
The crowd outside the Socchi House - the line wasn't moving either...
So we found the closest playground instead.
The girls dancing to amuse themselves and the rest of us in a lineup... (Don't tell anyone it's to Molsen commercials!)
Okay, so done with that now. This was our first and last line.
Katie gets 2 in for a free Cannacord toque.

Granny and Papa visit

The girls are enthralled with their big books.
And they are both enjoying looking like twins!
