Cruising Along

Katie is getting much more stable with her walking and cruising. She loves spending time exploring her toy box. This box isn't that stable really as the sides will bow if tugged at. Watch how she kicks the toy out of her way so that she can get to the end of the toy box! Her balance is getting better every day!

Science World

Katie and I took our first trip to Science World today (well, Katie's first trip). It was a great hit. The toddler room in there is great.

Naked Breakfast

The other day we decided that Katie needed some naked time, but we had a busy day planned so we decided that we would try a naked breakfast. Katie loved it, but had to be taken to the shower directly after as she had yogurt from head to toe!

Patience is a Virtue

The kids waiting patiently for mommies to get dressed after swimming this afternoon. As long as the snacks hold out they are happy to wait.

Story Time

Parenting is hard. It's mostly feeding and changing diapers really. But in between, almost every day babies hit a new level of cutness. It's something where every day you think that they couldn't possibly get any cuter or more comfy - and yet they do. Katie is starting to really like books, she points and babbles along. Here she is all cuddled up with Dad enjoying some fine literature!

Saturna

We went to Saturna for a couple of days so that Dad could help Papa work on this concrete pad under the deck. They worked very hard. Did you know that concrete work is almost as mezmerizing as Baby Einstein???

Katie left some momentos behind - we tried hand prints but that was way too hard as Katie tried to grab a handful to eat!

Gardening

Well, we've been busy around here, but haven't gotten too many pictures taken. We're working on our garden! It may not look like much right now but we've just put the stone raised beds in and planted ferns and rhodos that should grow in nicely.

This sure is a cool truck - it has it's own crane. I think Geoff wants one of these now.

Yay, the rocks are here!

The final product looks much better in the sun and will look even better when it grows in a bit, but aren't our rock walls pretty?

Aquarium with Marley

It was a daddy trip to the Aquarium today for Katie and Marley!

Marley is a few weeks older than Katie so they are doing a lot of the same things except that Marley CRAWLS!!!

Marley tried her best to show Katie how great independant motion was but Katie was too interested in the whales.

Sharing Food

Katie loves brocolli, but she also loves to share her food with us now. It's quite cute.

Katie and Great Grandma

We went over to Donna and Doug's for Donna's birthday dinner and I only took one picture and the birthday girl isn't even in it! I can't believe it! But it is a great photo of Great Grandma and Katie.

Eric's Birthday

We were invited over to Eric's 31st Birthday Party!! Thanks for the wonderful evening guys.

As always the babies have a great time with all the toys.

Aquarium with Mommies

Andrea, Ben, Joanne, Rachel, Katie and I headed to the Aquarium for the day. It really is a great way to entertain kids. Everytime we go Katie notices more and more.

Daddy's Home

Dad's got some time at home here since and we headed to the Aquarium on a WEEKDAY! It's much less crowded on weekdays.

Dropped In

We dropped in on Andrea and Ben for an hour today. We had to get out of the house but the cold weather (it snowed today again!) kept us indoors.

Katie shows us how she can now put things in other things! She's been working on this for a while but it's just coming together now.

Library and Playdate

We went for our usual library time and then we headed over to the playground with Heidi and Ryan (it had been so nice yesterday). We only were at the playground a few minutes before an icy wind blew over us and we decided to retire to Heidi and Ryan's house. We had a picnic in their kitchen and it was lots of fun!
