Back in the 'loops

Katie and I spent the weekend in Kamloops. Katie was very excited to be around the dogs all weekend. They especially were interested in her whenever she got in the highchair! Here is a video of her with the dogs. (Doggy and Daddy sound very similiar to the untrained ear)

MORE Teeth

I have no pictures yet, but Katie is cutting 2 more teeth on her top jaw! She's catching up!

Squats

Katie hasn't been nearly as interested in walking since she learned to crawl, but she will walk happily if she is holding one of your hands. She has gotten into the habit of letting go of the hand though and immediately going into a squat position and complaining. Since she let's go of my hand I decided last night to take a few steps away and give her a chance to figure it out for herself... She started doing squats and when we clapped she clapped. She did enough for me to see the first couple and then run into the house and get the camera and catch the last two! Quite the workout.

Rocking Chair

Tonight we went to Bill and Kym's baby shower! It was so nice to catch up with people there and see Bill and Kym! There were a lot of 2 year olds and other people and since Katie was one of the few babies crawling she was a bit of a speed bump so the pictures are limited again. At the end of the evening Katie found this little rocking chair, climbed up and loved it!

Playdate with Nadine and Sydney

We met up with my old highschool friend Nadine and her baby Sydney for a playdate at a local mall. Unfortunately, when they were in the toddler play area having lots of fun, I was so busy keeping up with Katie that I didn't take pictures! Oops.

New Shoes

I bought these baby Holey Soles for Katie today. I also bought another pair of sandals but Katie is showing her first clothing preference in that she picked one of these shoes up, held it out to me and lifted a foot. She seems to really like them. Maybe it's that they are squishy, but it could be that they are pink!

Crawling

Last Few Days

Back at Penny's house Katie has become a lot more mobile.

It doesn't really show here but she's finally crawling properly - thanks Connor for showing her the light.

Fun of Driving in UK

Main highway - we crossed cattle guards and had to watch for sheep on the road.

Main road through town - all of a sudden there are people parked in your lane in the "highway".

Or it becomes one lane wide.

Hiking in the Brecon Beacons

Steve and Liz's reception was a multiple day affair. They had rented out this Manor House for us to stay. Katie stayed in Shrewsbury with Granny and Papa!!

It is voted that the Dosman pace (Steve's this time) is a bit brisk.
