Swimming and the Park

Ben hams it up at the pool.

Do you like swimming Katie??

Getting tired.
Lucy falls asleep as we head to the playground to take in the sunshine.

Ben was running and climbing and jumping - where do they get their non-stop energy?
Katie takes me for a walk.

Abi helps the kids on the bridge.

Man, look at that hair!!!

The weekend

Friday comes all too soon and Katie and I are left alone until the afternoon as Andrea and Abi leave and we wait for Daddy and Kate and Chad. I did manage to catch some cruising on video though.

On Saturday we went for a hike, it was Katie's first "real" Geoff hike - one that demonstrates the motto "Never Follow Geoff". She was a trooper though. This picture is near the end of her first bushwacking adventure.

Thursday

A sunny day! Time to set out for a picnic!!!

At Winter Cove.

Another evening walk - this time to the beach off the point.
Ben spots the moon and tells us "there it is"!

Continuing...

Going for an evening walk!

The fishing rocks at sunset.

Ben discovers his love of hiking!

Mommy's Retreat the Second

On our way! The Tswassen Quey has a fun play area!
Ben finds the cool flying toys - boy do they know who they are selling to.

On the ferry.
Making friends.

Whoops! We missed our ferry connection so we cooled our heels at Lucy's Grandma's house! Thanks for having all the chaos Grandma Sue!

Yay! We made it finally! A walk on the beach at low tide on the first day.

Katie's new favourite snack! Rocks!
Ben is getting antsy, so

he takes us for a walk.

Relaxing Weekend

This weekend we spent at home checking out the toys
and I bought Katie a muddy buddy! Doesn't she look imperviable to the weather?

Weekend with Dad

Saturday was SUNNY in Vancouver so we headed out. It was even warmish in the shade, spring is on the way!
Kaitlyn chats with Daddy while enjoying the swings.
Sunday was not sunny, but it wasn't raining that hard so we met up with Ben, Rob, Esme, Sue and Bob at Kits Beach. Katie enjoys the sand.
Ummm, guys??? My butt's cold now.
After a bit of a walk Kaitlyn convinced us that she needed to walk too, so we took a break from the backpack. Much better!!

More from Kamloops

Bevin was giving Kaitlyn some beauty tips before she went to work.
I'm going to have to do what with my eyelashes???
Whenever we put Kaitlyn in the highchair at least one dog came to sit nearby and scavenge anything that hit the ground. Much easier than having to sweep 3 times a day.
Bevin took a day off work and we had her friend Monica and her little daughter over. Her daughter is a week younger than Kaitlyn and her name is Katie!
Katie, meet Katie.
Bevin and Grandma fought over who got to give the bottles and bath each night! What a nice vacation for Mom.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention that this was Kaitlyn's first Greyhound trip. Here she is on the way home. We got 2 seats both ways! Yay! This is going to be even harder when Kaitlyn can actually walk.
