Erin's Birthday

It was a pretty cold and snowy day to go and check out the eagle count at Brackendale near Squamish. Normally (apparently) you can see dozens of eagles from our chosen vantage point (thanks to Tim and Kirsten for organizing). The snow and a poor salmon run contributed to a pretty poor turnout on the part of the eagles. Still - we saw about a dozen and they are pretty cool even in those numbers.

Kaitlyn and Ben check out the action at the viewing station.

Kyle and Carrie brought Taylor and Cloe out too. After a short while we were cold and wet and went for lunch.

This Jeuvenile bald eagle "buzzed the tower" and flew in close over our heads before setting down on the opposite bank of the river.
